Alfons Costafreda
Our school has 500 students. From 1st of ESO (11-year-old) to 2nd Batxillerat (18-year-old). There are two classes for each year.
The poet Alfons Costafreda was born on 8 May 1926 in Tàrrega, a town where he lived during his childhood. He moved to Madrid in 1942, in 1943 he published his first poem in the magazine Espadaña and also began what would be his first book, and travelled to Austria and Italy.
Our excurcions
AGEREvery year 1st ESO students go away for three days. It is a good opportunity for students to enjoy a few days of contact with nature, the work is done in Mas Portal, near Ager, with different activities: canoeing, climbing... and at the impressive Mont Rebei canyon.
ITALYThe students of 4th ESO go to Italy for a week as it is their last year at school. They visit some of the most beautiful regions in Italy: the Tuscany. They go to great places such as Venice, Pisa, Lucca and Florence.
SKIStudents in 2nd and 3rd of ESO, Baccalaureate and vocational studies have the opportunity to go skiing to La Molina, Masella, Porte-Puymorens Puigmal. Each day will have 3 hours with a ski instructor to improve the sport and then we can ski freely.
PORT AVENTURAThe Costafreda students to celebrate the end of the school year, spend a great day in Port Aventura theme park, we leave at 9 am and return at 8 pm. So we have a great long day with our friends and teachers.
School Festivities
Castanyada: We celebrate it on 20 of November.
Day against Gender Violence: We celebrate it on 25 November.
Christmas party: The oldest students prepare a breakfast. Students of 1st, 2nd and 4th ESO make a postcard a contest.
Day for Peace: Some students of the school along with their instruments play at the Town Hall Square.
St.George’s Day: Performing contest and different activities.
