Dance and Music

Sardanes

The Sardana is a Catalan folk dance considered the national dance of Catalonia. The name may refer both dancing and music. It is a collective dance dancing men and women holding hands in a circle with their feet and tapping the beats of the song.

Dancing the bottle

This dance is typical of Eastern Slovak. It is a very colorful dance so different folk groups who have it in their repertoire.

Dancing Myjava

In Myjava dances girls jump aided by the legs or arms of the dancers. In the group dances dancers girls passed after each jump.
